Valkyria Chronicles.

 Valkyria Chronicles was one of the games that made me truly want a PlayStation 3. It looked interesting, it was clearly a strategy RPG, but doing something new and different with the genre. And it did what it was doing well enough for other games copy its formula to various degrees. 

While Valkyria Chronicles was a PS3 exclusive, it has been ported around in recent years. And it now available on all modern platforms. Which is lucky for me, as my PS3 is no longer reliably reading discs.  I highly recommend checking the game out. 

Steam Summer Sale

 The summer Steam sale is her... and it is pretty disappointing. I miss the days of daily or even 8 hour flash sales. Flash sales used to be the real reason to be excited for the big summer and winter sales. Flash sales were where you would find most amazing deals. Sadly, they are a thing of the past. 

Now admittedly if you are willing to spend time looking you can still find some decent deals. It will take some time. There are so many things that just aren't as cheap as they should be at this point. Sekiro is still 30$ on sale, its a game from 2019 it's regular price shouldn't be more than 20$ by now. 

Even digging I haven't found much. My budget is considerably lower than usual, now having a good time financially as of late. Blogging isn't as profitable as one might hope. 

So I got a Steam Controller.

Took a while. After all there is currently a waiting list. Worth it, as I'd rather wait a little while than pay a scalper. 

I have used it a little, and thus far find it to be a quality controller. The best feature is the ability to have a different profile for each game. This can even be used for games that have no controller support built in. 

I find the controller to be comfortable to use. The back button positioned perfectly to be hit by my middle and ring fingers. I also prefer the symmetrical stick layout the controller uses. The touchpads make use of haptics when in use, though I think they will be the least used feature of the controller for me. However, the gyro control options might also take that title.
